La réunion de cabinet du ministère des finances et du budget, tenue ce lundi 19 août 2019, dans la salle de conférences dudit ministère, sous l’égide du ministre Henri-Marie Dondra a été l’opportunité d’aborder les questions relatives aux préparatifs de la prochaine mission du Fonds Monétaire International (FMI) en Centrafrique.
En effet, le 1er juillet dernier, à Washington, le Conseil d’Administration du Fonds Monétaire International (FMI) a bouclé la sixième et dernière revue du programme économique et financier du gouvernement soutenu par la Facilité Elargie de Crédit (FEC). Préoccupé par la poursuite de l’amélioration de la situation macroéconomique de la RCA, le gouvernement a sollicité un nouveau programme avec cette institution financière internationale. C’est dans ce contexte que le ministre des finances et du budget et ses proches collaborateurs cogitent sur la conclusion de ce nouveau programme économique et financier qui sera une première expérience pour l’Etat centrafricain. Cette mission est attendue à Bangui le 28 août 2019.

MFB WEEKLY MEETING: THE PREPARATIONS OF THE IMF’S MISSION AT THE HEART OF THE DISCUSSIONS
This Monday, 19 August, takes place the weekly meeting of the ministry of finance and budget at the conference hall of the said ministry. This gathering that was presided over by the minister Henri-Marie Dondra has been the occasion to tackle the issue pertaining to the preparations of the forthcoming IMF’s mission to the Central African Republic.
Let’s recall that on July 1st, in Washington, the IMF’s Board of directors completed the sixth and last review of the CAR’s government economic and financial program under the Extended Credit Facility from the IMF. Committed to pursuing the CAR’s macroeconomic situation improvement, the government requests a new program with this international financial institution. It’s in this context that the minister of finance and budget and his close collaborators reflect on the conclusion of this envisaged scheme that will a first experience for the CAR’s government . This mission will arrive in Bangui on August 28, 2019.
