Le ministre des finances et du budget, M. Hervé Ndoba a reçu en audience, le mercredi 28 juillet, en ses services à Bangui, M. Victor Davies, représentant résident du Fonds Monétaire International (FMI) en République centrafricaine.
L'entrevue a porté sur les relations de coopération existant entre la RCA et cette institution financière internationale et les moyens susceptibles de les renforcer davantage. Au cours de cette rencontre, la question relative à la révision de la loi de finances était également abordée. Le ministre Hervé Ndoba a fait savoir à son hôte que le conseil de cabinet tenu le mardi dernier a adopté avec amendement le projet de loi de finances révisée soumis par les soins du ministre des finances et du budget au conseil des ministres pour examen. Par ailleurs, un conseil de ministre extraordinaire devrait se tenir avant la fin de la semaine en vue de l’adoption finale par le gouvernement avant son transfert au bureau de l’Assemblée nationale.
Signalons que la RCA est sous un programme de référence avec le FMI, dont le but est d’accompagner l’exécutif à atteindre ses objectifs dans le cadre des réformes engagées. Au regard des derniers développements de l’environnement économique international marqué par la crise sanitaire lié au covid-19 qui a impacté également sur l’économie nationale, il est tout à fait logique de réviser le budget de l’Etat afin qu’il soit cohérent avec la capacité de mobilisation crescendo des recettes financières de l’Etat.

MINISTER OF FINANCE AND BUDGET HERVE NDOBA MET WITH RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND
The Minister of Finance and Budget, Mr. Hervé Ndoba, received in audience, on Wednesday 28 July, in his office in Bangui, Mr. Victor Davies, resident representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the Central African Republic.
The meeting focused on the existing cooperation relations between CAR and this international financial institution and the means likely to strengthen them further. During this meeting, the issue of the revision of the appropriation law was also discussed. Minister Hervé Ndoba informed his host that the cabinet meeting held last Tuesday adopted with amendments the revised finance bill submitted by the Minister of Finance and Budget to the council of ministers for review. Moreover, an extraordinary council of ministers should be held before the end of the week for final adoption by the government before its transfer to the office of the National Assembly.
It should be noted that CAR is under a reference programme with the IMF, the purpose of which is to support the government in achieving its objectives in the context of the reforms undertaken. In light of the latest developments in the international economic environment, marked by the health crisis linked to covid-19, which has also had an impact on the national economy, it is logical to revise the state budget so that it is consistent with the state's capacity to mobilize financial revenues.
